“Promovax” was presented in ECDC Workshop on regional synergies for immunization in hard-to-reach population groups

“Promovax” project representatives were invited to participate in the ECDC workshop in Sophia, Bulgaria, on 21-22 September and give an update on the project´s progress. The overall aim of the workshop was to promote regional collaboration for activities in the field of immunization among marginalized and hard-to-reach high risk populations.
Professor Athena Linos, presented “Promovax” on behalf of the project’s consortium. “Promovax” aims to complement EU policies on reaching hard-to-reach populations by adding to the knowledge on access, barriers and attitudes among migrants concerning immunizations. The project will develop educational material for both health professionals and migrants, as well as recommendations for policy-makers regarding the immunization of migrants.
