Cervical cancer and Prevention Cervical cancer is the 2nd most common type of cancer worldwide among women of age 15-44 years and the 3rd most common cause of cancer death after breast and lung cancer. In Europe more than 50.000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer every year and almost 25.000 die from this cause.

“Promovax” was presented in ECDC Workshop on regional synergies for immunization in hard-to-reach population groups
“Promovax” project representatives were invited to participate in the ECDC workshop in Sophia, Bulgaria, on 21-22 September and give an update on the project´s progress. The overall aim of the workshop was to promote regional collaboration for activities in the field of immunization among marginalized and hard-to-reach high risk populations.
