Dina Zota
Dina Zota, a psychologist, specialized in health promotion, is the Head of the Department of National Initiatives of Prolepsis and has significant experience in European projects as well. She has a BA in Psychology from the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a MSc in Health Promotion and Education from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is, also, a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the University of Athens. As part of her postgraduate studies she worked at the Center of Health Promotion, at the University of Toronto, Canada. For her thesis she designed, implemented and evaluated an intervention program targeted to parents aiming to reduce the exposure of children to environmental tobacco smoke. Since September 2008, she has been working for the Institute of Preventive Medicine Environmental and Occupational Health, Prolepsis, being involved in EU funded projects, as well as national initiatives concerning the design and implementation of health education and health promotion projects on diverse issues including physicians’ training on medical writing, migrants’ immunization, as well as issues such as smoking, obesity, as well as women, migrant and older citizens’ health. Among others, she is project manager of the 2-year Development and Wide Dissemination of the General and Special National Dietary Guidelines implemented by Prolepsis Institute.
