Medical Doctor – External Associate (Unpaid voluntary contribution)
Anastasios Mitsakos
Anastasios Mitsakos is a military medical doctor, who graduated with Honors (summa cum laude) from the Medical Faculty of the Military School of Combat Support Officers and from the Medical Faculty of the School of Health Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a medical officer in the Hellenic Navy, currently working in the Naval Hospital of Athens, where he vigorously pursues continuous medical education. After his graduation, he worked as a scientific associate for a short period of time at the General Surgery Department of Mayo Clinic, Rochester, where he had also received clinical training as a visiting medical student.
Due to his ongoing interest in research activities, he contacted PROLEPSIS Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health, where he has been working since November 2015. His specific role in the institute is the participation in various research protocols and projects, with the uttermost goal of combining research with the social aspect of the medical science. He speaks English, French, and German fluently, having acquired the respective accreditation.
