Anastasia Pantazopoulou-Fotinea
Anastasia Pantazopoulou-Fotinea is a Public Health Doctor and Occupational Physician, a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1987), holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from the National School of Public Health of Athens (1988) and a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1990). Senior official at the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works since 1977 and since 2003 at the Ministry of Health and for several years as the Head of the General Directorate of Public Health and Quality of Life until her retirement. Due to her position, she has represented Greece in several fora at the World Health Organization and the European Union on issues related to either environmental protection or public health and has numerous publications. She has participated in both Greek and international scientific conferences. After her retirement she has been collaborating with the Institute of Preventive Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Prolepsis, since 2012.
