Fundraising Event For The Children In Gaza
One of the most alarming outcomes of the offensive in Gaza is the number of children that were killed, maimed or orphaned. The children of Gaza are struggling to survive, homeless, hungry, thirsty, and in need of medical care. They also need to go back to school and to a normal life that most children all over the world take for granted. They need and deserve all the help one can give.
In response to these desperate humanitarian conditions, and the aid that is urgently needed as the scale of the devastation is now becoming evident, the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health, Prolepsis, organizes a fund-raising event to help the children of Gaza. The event will take place on Sunday, 15th of February, at 7pm at the DAIS Theatre, Doukas School, 151 Mesogeion Street, Paradisos, Amarousion. This event will feature guest speakers H. E. Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos, Minister of Health and Social Solidarity, Ms. Rodi Kratsa, 1st Vice President of the European Parliament, Mr. Panos Moumtzis, Director for the Palestine Refugee Affairs at The United Nations Relief & Works Agency (UNRWA), and Dr. Aris Mousionis, former member of parliament and head of the PASOK Doctors' Delegation to Gaza, which visited Gaza recently. Renowned journalist and news anchor for Mega Television, Ms. Maria Karhilakis, will be coordinating the event. All proceeds from this fund raiser will go to the UNRWA to help the children of Gaza.
