Useful information in a case of a radiological emergency

The recent crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi site in Japan prompted by the earthquake on March 14, has caused serious concern over nuclear radiation to people and health professionals worldwide.

The European Training for Health Professionals on Rapid Response to Health Threats (ETHREAT) Project has developed an educational package to empower European health professionals to rapidly clinically recognise and adequately respond to new public health threats, like attacks with biological, chemical and radiological agents. The University of Athens, Prolepsis Institute and five more partners from European Member States participated in this project.

In the attached files you can find very useful information, from the project’s outcomes, regarding a radiological accident and emergencies.
