Event in honor of the Directors/Program Coordinators of the schools that participated in the Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition Program for students

The current school year has come to an end and with it the pilot phase of the Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition Program which was implemented among students of elementary and secondary schools. On this occasion the Institute of Preventive Medicine Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Prolepsis, organized an event to honor and congratulate the directors and the program coordinators of the schools that participated in the program. The event was held on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Prolepsis Institute. 
 
Prof. Dimitrios Linos, the President of Prolepsis Institute, honored the directors who attended the event with commemoration awards recognizing their very important role in both the implementation and the success of the program. Prof. Dimitrios Linos, in an emotional address to the directors, emphasized the immense importance of the Program for children and the important contribution of the school directors in its implementation. In turn, the directors thanked Prolepsis for the excellent planning and coordination of the Program and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for its kind donation. They, also, stressed the importance of the program, as it provides children and their families with much needed support, emphasizing that students and their parents are anxiously wondering whether the program will continue next year. The Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition Program for students of elementary and secondary schools was developed by the Prolepsis scientific team in collaboration with the Athens Medical School and the University of Harvard and is implemented with the donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
